The Short Version

Coin Club collects zero data. Nothing leaves your device. Ever.

We built Coin Club to be fully offline. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no tracking, and no ads. All data stays on your device in encrypted local storage.

Data Collection

Coin Club does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Specifically:

  • No user accounts or registration
  • No email addresses or personal identifiers
  • No analytics or usage tracking
  • No advertising or ad identifiers
  • No location data
  • No cookies or web tracking
  • No third-party SDKs that collect data

Data Stored on Device

Coin Club stores the following data locally on your device only:

  • Child's first name and age (entered by parent)
  • Chore configurations and completion history
  • Reward configurations and redemption history
  • Game progress (coins, XP, level, streak, achievements)
  • Avatar customization choices
  • App lock rules and screen time sessions
  • Parent PIN (stored as a bcrypt hash, never in plaintext)
  • App preferences (sound, haptics)

All local data is stored in encrypted storage (MMKV with device encryption). This data never leaves the device and is not accessible to other apps.

Screen Time & App Lock

Coin Club uses Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls, ManagedSettings) on iOS and Android's UsageStatsManager to provide app locking features. These features:

  • Require explicit permission from the device owner
  • Only monitor which app is in the foreground (no content monitoring)
  • Do not transmit any usage data off-device
  • Can be disabled at any time through device settings

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Coin Club is designed for use by children ages 3-12 under parental supervision. Because we collect zero data — no accounts, no personal information, no network transmission — Coin Club is COPPA-safe by design. There is nothing to collect, share, or delete.

Photos

Coin Club's optional photo proof feature stores photos locally on the device in the app's private sandbox. Photos are never uploaded, shared, or transmitted. They are automatically deleted with chore completion records after 90 days.

Data Deletion

All app data can be permanently deleted at any time by going to Parent Mode > Settings > Reset All Data. This completely erases all local storage. Alternatively, uninstalling the app removes all data.

In-App Purchases

Coin Club offers optional premium features through Apple App Store and Google Play Store in-app purchases. These transactions are handled entirely by Apple/Google — we do not process or store any payment information.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Since Coin Club is an offline app, changes will be communicated through app update release notes.

Terms of Service

By using Coin Club, you agree that the app is provided "as is" without warranty. Coin Club is a tool to assist with chore management and screen time — it does not guarantee any specific behavioral outcomes. Parents are responsible for configuring appropriate chores, rewards, and screen time limits for their children.
